Min Lo

“Ming Lo Moves the Mountain” by Arnold Lobel

Saturday, June 14th 2014

At 11 a.m. – English version (for advanced level learners)

At 12:30 p.m –English version with some Spanish to help understand. (For Intermediate English level learners)

Ming Lo’s wife is angry. The couple live beside a big mountain which causes them no end of trouble. “Husband,” says Ming Lo’s wife, “you must move the mountain so that we may enjoy our house in peace.” But how can a man as small as Ming Lo move something as large as a mountain? Maybe the village wise man can help.

“Fables” by Arnold Lobel

“Fables date back to early times, but their messages still have meaning in everyday life. Arnold Lobel’s originals in Fables are especially easy to connect with. With morals that remind us to be ourselves, to have patience, to persevere, and more, these fables teach life’s lessons with plenty of humor.”
